Traumberuf:      historian, writer all day (as will probably be the case in 2006), like to walk and bike, like
                           movies: personal videotheque of 1200 titles, mainly old ones

Always been busy with the problems of science and society, book about Chemistry and Society (Hansruedi) later CD-Rom, chemical engineer at Delft University, Ph.D in history University of Amsterdam, thesis about a group of scientists in Holland (1946-1980) that wanted to use science for constructive purposes and not for war and armament. Like Erasmus that has always been my activity. Also been very active for the Dutch peace movement and in protests against nuclear armament (Neutronbomb; Cruise Missiles).

The world can only be kept alive by cooperation, mutual confidence and peace. I'm very worried about how things develop, especially the Bush government and the degrading of a Labourleader like Blair into a power politician of the Macchiavellitype. In this respect projects like Davos-Rotterdam are very good!
